Robert Lee Thomason Jr.

Robert Lee Thomason Jr (Bobby Lee) went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was born on March 23rd, 1983 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Christalyn Joy Mahan and Robert Lee Thomason. 

Bobby leaves behind many beloved family members and friends.

Wife Kimberly Kay Springer of Carlsbad, New Mexico; daughters Riley Chevelle Thomason of Nederland, Texas and Autumn Rae Thomason of Bridge City Texas; sons Levi Case Thomason of Bridge City Texas,  Dawson James Thomason and Tyler Thomas Nelson of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Grandson Jaxon Allen Nelson of St Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

Parents Chris and Rocky Mahan of Millsap; Robert and Janice Thomason of Azle.  Grandmother Joy Edwards of Millsap.

Brother Josh Lively and wife Providence of Ft Worth, Texas

Sister Sarah Gilbert, her husband Colton, and son Sage of Millsap.

Brother Marshall Lytle, his wife Alicia and children Alexis, Leann, and Dillon of Decatur.

Brother Cody Mahan and Sister Lacey Mahan of Millsap.  Brother  Brooks Mahan of Granbury.

Aunts & Uncles, Garry & Adena Weatherford, Becky & Scott Poynor, Liz & Kevin Hensley, Natha & Doug Taylor, along with many cousins.

Bobby was a graduate of Millsap High School in 2001 where he was very active in the band and a member of the jazz band. 

Bobby was a good Daddy and loved his children more than anything. He was also proud to be a grandpa. He was very loving, tender hearted, and always kind to people. There was always a smile on his face, be it a happy one or a mischievous little grin.  He loved cracking jokes, being goofy, and making others laugh with his quirky way of saying things. He was also a good singer and enjoyed karaoke. 

Bobby worked for National Oilwell Varco and lived in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

He had many close friends, loved to travel and play pool like his daddy. He was proud of his Harley and enjoyed riding with his many friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday,  August 8 from 2 to 4pm at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home,  302 West Hubbard Street, in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Friends of Bobby are organizing a memorial event for Sunday, August 15 at 4pm in Carlsbad, New Mexico. More info will be posted on his facebook as it is available.

Graveside service will be 10am on Saturday, August 21 at Poe Prairie Cemetery in Millsap, Texas.
