Robert Lucien Stathem, 77, passed away February 28, 2014 in a Mineral Wells assisted living facility. He was born May 2, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana the son of John Malcolm and Esta Bell Ragus Stathem. He married Adalene Fawn Williams on June 30, 1956 in Winters. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells. He retired from Santo ISD as Superintendent. He was a veteran of three branches of the military. He was awarded his Masters in Education from Texas A&M. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Lane and Terri Stathem of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robin and Tiger Wilson of Mineral Wells, grandchildren and spouses: Haley Cunningham, Cody and Erin Stathem, Brady Cunningham, Kelly Cunningham, Lauryn Stathem, great-grandchildren: Peightyn Stathem, Ayden Stathem, sister: Johnnie McClure of Shreveport, Louisiana, and brother-in-law: Melvin Williams of Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on February 17, 1999, daughter: Teri Stathem, and sister: Claire Jenkins.
