Robert Nelson

Robert Nelson of Graford, Texas passed away at his home on March 28, 2014. Robert worked for Dallas Production as a water hauler with over 34 years of service; and to his credit out of those 34 years of service he never received a driving citation, even with over 1,000,000 miles of road under his belt. He loved his work, and it was fitting, because when not working Robert spent most of his free time by the water; either the river or on the lake. Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. A memorial service will be on Sunday March 30, 2014 at 2p.m. at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Chapel. He is survived by wife Patricia Nelson of Graford; children Kay Nowak and spouse Eddie, Frances Ferguson and spouse Toby and Clint Nelson and fiancé Skye Mohn all of Graford; grandchildren Lacy Pippin and spouse Scott of Graford, Justin Ward and fiancé Megan Reeves of Mineral Wells, Kyndze Pendergraft, Ricky Ferguson, Lilly Porteous and Maddie Mohn Dodge; great-grandchildren Brant Lee Pippin and Riggin Ward; sisters Gail Barker and spouse Wendell of Mineral Wells, Raylene Kainer and spouse Ben of Wasilla, Alaska; brother-in-laws Billy Fred Nunley, Donny Nunley and Rocky Timmons; brother and sister-in-law Janice Reed and husband Ernie. He was preceded in death by former wife Benda Timmons Nelson.
