Robert Leon McKee

Robert Leon McKee, 75, passed away peacefully October 11, 2021. Robert was born January 22, 1946, in Mineral Wells, Texas to L.C. and Josephine (Nowak) McKee. He married Alena Ondrieck in April of 1980. After graduating from Graford High School, Robert went into the oil and gas industry, and then was elected Constable in 1994, where he served 16 years as a peace officer before retiring. Any free time, you could find him on the river fishing or in a field hunting with his family. 

Robert is survived by his son, Billy Kyle Nunley; grandsons, Ty Nunley, Stanley Nunley, Spencer Nunley; great-grandchildren, Cutter, Cooper, Karter, Laila, Parker, Olivia, and Shayden; brothers, Johnny McKee, Michael (and Melissa) McKee; sisters, Donna (and Ronnie) Lemley, Paula (and Joe) Rogoski, Peggy Kinder, Laura (and Royce) Lee; brothers in law, Jerry Mitchell and Eddie Wakefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; son Randy McKee; brother, Jimmy McKee; sisters, Patsy Mitchell, and Deanna Wakefield; nephews, Shane McKee and James McKee; sister-in-law, Dolores McKee; and beloved wife Alena McKee.

A rosary and funeral mass will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10am at St. Francis Catholic Church in Graford, Texas. Visitation is Monday, October 18 from 6-8 at Baum-Carlock Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences.
