Robert Howard Jenkins, 89, passed away July 17, 2014 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born March 8, 1925 in Goldthwaite the son of Henry Reatus and Lela Belle Padgett Jenkins. He married Elsie Fay Davis on October 27, 1947 in Lamesa. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII. He worked at Cantex for 38 years. He loved fishing at Mineral Wells Lake and going to flea markets. He loved to people watch at Wal-Mart. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife: Elsie Fay Jenkins of Mineral Wells, children: Marsha Jenkins of Mineral Wells, Connie Price an husband James of Mineral Wells, Anita Jenkins of Denton, grandchildren: Diana Miller of Mineral Wells, Robert Price and wife Krista of Arlington, Alayna Jenkins of Mineral Wells, great-grandchildren: Tyler Miller of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Jayci Miller of Mineral Wells, Clayton Price of Arlington, EmaGrace Hendrix of Mineral Wells, and siblings: Irene Kennemer of Tempe, Arizona, Jessie Jenkins of Montrose, Colordao, and Dan Riley Jenkins of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Ted, Tom, Utah, and Chistley Jenkins, and sister: Lenora Hill.
