Robert Franklin Flinn 79 of Millsap passed away on June 15, 2012 at a Fort Worth Hospital. Robert was born in Taft, Texas, the son of Hal and Lois Sunshine (Burr) Flinn. He served in the U.S. Army for a short time, and graduated with a business degree from The University of Texas while playing football there for 4 years. He worked for Bell Helicopter, Southern Airways at Fort Walters. Through his working years he had experiences across the continent we only hear about and or dream about; he lived and worked in Iran for 6 years, in Nigeria for 13 years working for Pan African Airlines. Robert and his wife moved to Millsap in the early 80's. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting and camping, some of his fondest outdoor memories were his yearly trips with his fishing buddies. Survivors are daughter Kelly Franz of Fort Worth; granddaughter Jordan Franz; grandson Jeffrey Franz; great-granddaughter Caylin Franz; very close family friend Asghar Nasiri; brother-in-law Michael Peters along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Robert was preceded in death by parents and his wife. Visitation is Friday June 22, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral service is Saturday June 23, 2012 at 2 P.M. in the funeral home chapel, with burial following at Woodland Park Cemetery. The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
