Robert Samuel Dalton Jr. 87 of Mineral Wells passed away on January 12, 2014. Robert was born in Alpine, Texas; the son Robert Sr. and Bertha (Perry) Dalton. He had quite a career in the U.S. Army; served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was in airborne infantry and earned 3 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star during his combat service. He married the love of his life Fuchiko (Fujita) Dalton in 1954 in S. Sapporo Japan. After retiring from the Army in 1968 he had a second career for a timber company in Tacoma Washington that he worked for 18 years. In their spare time he and his wife loved to travel all over the country and was a member of an RV club. Take time to think about, and give a moment of silence for such men as Robert that have served their country diligently, and for all the fallen soldiers that have served our country. He will be missed by: wife Fuchiko Dalton of Mineral Wells; son Garry Dalton of Mineral Wells; 2 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin Dalton of Graham and sister Margaret Boldt of Graham. Service will be Thursday January 16th with military honors at the Calvary Baptist Church at 2PM, burial will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
