Ricky Gilbreath

Ricky L. Gilbreath, loving father, passed away at the age of 61 on September 6, 2019 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was born on June 21, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas, son of Gaylen Gilbreath and Joyce Ballew Gilbreath. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Ft. Riley, Kansas. He married Teresa Brodie in 1983 and has two daughters Hannah and Kate Gilbreath. Rick loved outdoor activities and spent many days canoeing and hiking through the Texas countryside. He loved cooking, caring for his pets, and spending time with his family. A memorial service and military honors will be 11 am, Saturday, September 21 at the Emmett Church and Prairie Grove Cemetery at the intersection of FM 744 and NW CR 3300, Emmett, Texas. He is survived by his wife Teresa Gilbreath; daughters Hannah and Kate Gilbreath; sister Gaylynn Gilbreath; mother Joyce Ballew Gilbreath; nieces Jesslen Clark and Jovian Elder; nephew Jason Jones; and great nieces and great nephew Makenna, Estella, and Colby Brown. He was preceded in death by his father Gaylen Gilbreath; brother Wayne Jones; grandfathers Jesse Ballew and Gordon Gilbreath; and grandmothers Mabel Perser and Louise Longlott. His funeral service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be sent to a charity of your choice.
