Richard Franklin Vann

Richard Franklin Vann was born April 21st, 1928 in Eastland, TX to Matthew Ambrose and Ruby Lilla Vann and passed from this home to his eternal home on October 20th, 2024 at the age of 96 and 6 months. Richard is survived by his daughters Maudie and husband Jay Lionberger and Kathy and husband Melvin Porter; Sisters Ruby Whitehead, Louise Smith, Rena Berkley, son in law Joe Burson and daughter in law Betty Gipson; Grandchildren Christi and husband Wes Van Rite, Justin and wife Keisha Head, Misty Barkey, Crissy and husband Vann Orton, Butch and wife Donna Richard, Stuart and wife Audrea Richard, Rada and husband Cullin Grimes, Jeanette and husband Bennie Fisher, Stephanie Gober; and numerous Great Grandchildren including Nicholas, Cody and Ella Head, Marilyn and Marrion Stekoll, Orion Orton, Kristopher Gipson and John Gober.

Richard was preceded in death by his wives Jessie and Maxine, his parents, Brothers Bill Vann and Robert Vann; Sister Johnnie Chancellor; Sister-in-law Amy Vann; Brothers-in-law Tex Whitehead, Cotton Berkley and Dale Smith; Sons David Vann, Ronnie Gipson and Bobby Gipson; Daughter Sandra Burson; and Granddaughter Shelby Richard.
