Rhoda Pearl Moore, 76, of Mineral Wells, was re-united with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in St. Paul Hospital, Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie White and Rev. Nathan Buchanan will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Staggs Prairie Cemetery and the pallbearers are Ken Davis, Rene James, Blake Lawhon, Matthew Lawhon, Travis Yandell and Steve Colburn . Visitation will be 5:30 to 7:30 Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.Rhoda was born July 6, 1935 in Mannsville, OK, the daughter of Grover Hebron and Myrtle Williams Tatom. She received her Bachelor of Science and Education degree at East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, Texas. She married John D. Moore on December 26, 1959, in Victoria, TX and moved to Mineral Wells January of 1962. She taught at Progress Community School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells for more than 50 years. She taught Sunday School at First Baptist and other churches since she was 12 years old. She was, until her illness, actively involved in raising pecans in a family operation known as Beulahland Pecans. She was an avid bridge player and a member of the Bible Club in Mineral WellsSurvivors include her husband, John D. Moore of Mineral Wells; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ellen and Jodie Goldsberry of Burleson and Cora and Ron Yandell of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Dr. John Henry Tatom of Sulphur, OK.
