Rena Belle Higginson

Rena Bell Higginson passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021. She was born December 21, 1940 to Vivian and Islee White in Bagwell, Tx. She attended and graduated from Dunbar High School here in Mineral Wells, TX in 1959. Later that same year on July 15th, she would marry the love of her life Elonzo William Higginson and to this union they had 5 children, Cornelia, Linda Marie, Veronica Joyce, Stephanie Jo and Elonzo II. She worked at the famous Baker Hotel in the bath house and later would go on to work at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) and retire.

Rena is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two daughters, Linda Marie Higginson and Stephanie Jo Andrews.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Elonzo W. Higginson II (Sejla); her daughters, Cornelia Chandler (Ronald), Veronica Joyce Baker (Roy); her brother, Farrow M. White (Mattie); and her grandchildren and great children.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
