Rela Faye Sowersby

Rela Faye Sowersby (Holt), 83, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025 in Mineral Wells, Texas. Rela was born on November 23, 1941 in Liberal, Kansas to Sherman Ross Holt Sr. and Mildred Magnolia Holt (Calvin) and was raised in the Texas Panhandle.

Rela had a life well-lived, filled with love and laughter and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughters: Deborah Zayne Golden of Springtown, Texas, Cynthia Berrier Chavez and husband Fred of Mineral Wells, Texas. Grandchildren: William "Bill" Jodell Golden, Jacqueline Hart Berrier and Fiance Corey Massey, James Hart Berrier and wife Kelly Anne, Elijah Holt Golden, and eight great-grandchildren.

Rela was preceded in death by both parents, her four older siblings, her son Tommie Jodell Golden Jr., and her great-granddaughter Hollie Jo Golden.

A celebration of life for Rela will take place where she had the fondest early life memories of her family in Red River, NM, at a later date.
