Refugio Garcia

Refugio Lopez Garcia, 88, passed away December 8, 2012 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born July 4, 1924 in Mexico the son of Timotoe and Margarita Lopez Garcia. He married Paula Huerta in 1936 in Mexico. He had lived in Mineral Wells since 2001 and in Del Rio prior to that. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mass will be 10 AM Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Balaji Boyalla officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. The Rosary was 6 PM Monday at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Epifanio and Rosa Garcia of San Angelo, Jesus and Manuela Garcia of Mineral Wells, Miguel Garcia of Mineral Wells, 15 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings, his wife in 1989, and 2 daughters.
