Raymond Burns, 66, earned his wings on February 23, 2012. He was born and raised in Mineral Wells to Clyde and Iva Burns on August 4, 1945. He married the love of his life, Ann, on May 13, 1968 and together they started their family. They had 43 years together before his time was through here. He's and angel in Heaven now and will be waiting for us when we come home. The pallbearers will be nephews: Johnny Burns, Bobby Burns, and Bill McMinn, great-nephews: Michael Johnson and Eric Johnson, and life long friend: Ed Fowler. Honorary pallbearers are R. L. (Smitty) Smith, Danny Dahl, and Mark House all close friends. Services will be 2 PM Sunday, February 26, 2011 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Ray Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Pond Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Raymond is survive by the love of his life for 43 years, Ann, daughters and sons-in-law: Cindy and Bonnie Compton, Leslie and Aaron White, grandchildren: Matt Gilliland, R. D. Ables, Shelbie Hawkins, brothers and sisters-in-law: Norman and Carol Burns, Roger and Sue Burns, Jack and Ann Burns, Paul Burns and Cherrye Garrett, sisters: Ruth Garrison and Ramona Evans, and numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends including Prissy and Mama Cat. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and brother Jimmy Dale Burns.
