Ray Davis

Ray Winston Davis, 94, passed away at his Dallas home into his Lord's arms on January 11, 2016. He was born in Salesville, TX on October 28, 1921, the son of Lee Ander Davis and Sarah Augusta Moore Davis. He will be laid to rest at the Grantham/Salesville Cemetery near his parents. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and moved to Odessa, TX in 1946. Ray retired from Sid Richardson Carbon Black Company and El Paso Products in Odessa. He was a long time member of Northside Baptist Church in Odessa where he was an active member who was always ready to serve his Lord. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6-7:30pm. Funeral Services will be held at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells Texas Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1 pm. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Cora Frances Davis; son, David Ray Davis and wife Linda Ann Bateman Davis of Kemp, TX; daughter, Linda Jean Davis of Dallas, TX; and grandson, Michael Putman Davis of Kemp, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Sarah Davis and his siblings Celia Haret Davis, Reeves Franklin Davis, Ethel Mae Davis Bevers, Clarence Wilson Davis, Edgar Layton Davis, and Raymond Lee Davis.
