Ramona Mae Patterson Bernard

Ramona Mae Patterson Bernard, 89, went home to her heavenly Father on July 30, 2018. Graveside services will be held at Sturdivant Cemetery on August 2, 2018 at 9:00 am.Ramona was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Levi and Jewel Patterson along with sisters, Maxine and Billie Jean; brothers, Clayton, Wendell, I.L., Ned, and Johnny. She married Lester Gaylord Bernard December 3, 1946 and traveled throughout Europe as a military wife. Ramona made a home for her family wherever he was stationed. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, they moved to Colorado City, Texas. Ramona managed her own hair salon for over 20 years while helping Les with their family-owned business, "Bernard's Tourist Town." After retirement, they moved to the Brazos River in Mineral Wells, Texas, she enjoyed fishing, pottery, gardening and entertaining. Ramona made many friends while golfing, playing card games and participating in other activities at Holiday Hills Country Club.Ramona's husband, Les, preceded her in death in 2003 after 57 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Richard Kiser; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Paula Bernard; and son Zane Bernard, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her much-loved Yorkie, Niki.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of American, P.O.
