Peggy Nicks

Peggy Louise Nicks, 67, of Palo Pinto, passed away in her 67th year on Monday, September 6, 2010. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home followed by a private burial at a later date. Peggy was born August 7, 1943, in Pauls Valley, OK the daughter of Frank and Trentie Lee White McCurley. She married Travis Nicks, April 4, 1994 in Bullhead City, Arizona, and moved to Palo Pinto at that time. She was a retired field accountant for Mobil Oil where she retired. Survivors include her husband, Travis Nicks of Palo Pinto; daughter, Jerri Lynn Manner of Cushing, OK; grandchildren Valerie Miller of Cushing, OK and Tommy Baumgardner of San Angelo, TX; sister, Towanna Thomason of Anderson, CA; brothers Willard McCurley of Georgia, Ted McCurley of Wheeler, TX and Leroy McCurley of Cuba, NY; stepchildren, Todd Nicks of Groesbeck, TX and Linda Lusk of Mineral Wells; seven step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Frank Lee Baumgardner.
