Peggy McDonald

Peggy Marie McDonald, 84, passed away October 27, 2013 in Weatherford, Texas. She was born March 28, 1929, in McLean, Texas to Jesse Floyd Ledbetter and Chloe Irene Murphree Ledbetter. She married Clifton C. McDonald on December 30, 1947, in Weatherford, Texas. Together they made their home in Cool, Texas where she resided until her passing. She was a founding member of the Cool Assembly of God Church. She retired from teaching at Mineral Wells High School, a calling that she loved. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Cool Assembly of God with Marsha McDonald, Win Mack and Gary Veazey officiating. Burial will follow in Holders Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, November 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas. The pallbearers will be Richard McDonald, Jr., Joshua McDonald, Kevin McDonald, Tim Taborsky, Jachob Christian and Lance Durm. The honorary pallbearers are Vernon Peipelman and Michael Ramsey. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifton C. McDonald of Cool, Texas; sons, Richard McDonald, Sr. and wife Rosemary, Russell McDonald and wife Becky of Cool; daughters, Mary Thornberry and husband Mike of Waxahachie, Marsha McDonald of Cool, and Rebekah McDonald-Lee and husband Bryan of Weatherford; grand-children, Richie McDonald, Kevin McDonald, Siobhan McDonald, Shelley Taborsky, Brent Oakley, Joshua McDonald, and Jil McDonald; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Sally Howard of Mineral Wells; brother, Larry Ledbetter of Georgia; numerous nephews and nieces.
