Pebble Mae McDuffee Ware

Pebble Mae McDuffee Ware, 85, a resident of Mineral Wells was called to her eternal home on Sunday, June 10, 2012 while visiting her daughter in Las Vegas, Nevada. While in Las Vegas Pebble became gravely ill and was hospitalized June 6th. She passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her four children. Pebble was born January 6, 1927 in Fort Towson, Choctaw County, Oklahoma to Mary Ethel Shrum and Charlie McDuffee.Many will remember her for her interests and activities in Mineral Wells. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved to participate in the senior activities where she became known as "the lady". She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, active with the VFW and participated in the Ms Senior Mineral Wells competition. She loved to crochet and spent many hours making lap robes to warm aging veterans in the Veteran's Home in Waco. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.Pebble is survived by her children, Frank & (Lynda) Spangler of Tyler, TX; Carl & (Kim) Spangler of Weatherford, TX; Dovie & (Sam) Spear of Las Vegas, NV and Carol Ware of Mineral Wells. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and both her brothers, Raymond and Randolph McDuffee.A viewing will be held Friday, June 22nd from 6PM - 8PM at Baum, Carlock, Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells. Services will be held Saturday, June 23rd, 10AM at the First Baptist Church, followed by interment at Indian Creek Cemetery.
