Pauline "Big Momma" Williams, 93, passed away May 5, 2011 in a Mineral Wells hospital. She was born May 28, 1917 in Bastrop the daughter of Paul and Loretta Whitley Alexander. She married Nelson Williams on May 7, 1966 in Mineral Wells. After working in the housekeeping department of the Baker hotel for many years she retired from Medco Electra. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Services will be 11 AM Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Southside Church of Christ with Rev. Billy Joe Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Albany Cemetery in Albany. Private family viewing is Friday from 6-8 PM, all other times are for public viewing. The pallbearers will be Hillman Johnson, Rodney Jackson, Melvin Jackson, Dewayne Dunning, Paul Weaver, and Rayford Alexander. The honorary pallbearers will be Ray Showers, Chris Meeks, Frankie Meeks, Clyde Milton, Jr., Terry Crowder, Ricky Artiz, Charles McCoy, and Anthony Crowder. She is survived by her brother: J. W. Alexander of Abilene, daughter: Hazel Washington of Dallas, daughter: Laura Pearl Johnson of Irving, son: Rayford Crowder of Dallas, son and daughter-in-law: Frankie and Marlene Washington of Temple, daughter: Edwina Gray of Dallas, daughter and sons-in-law: Norma and Clyde Milton of Aurora, Colorado, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and spouses: Candy and Curnell Dunning of Dallas, Jo Alexander of Abilene, Paula Putman and Al Garner of Abilene, and nephew: Charles McCoy of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 daughters who died in infancy, son: Herman Crowder Jr., and nephew: Rocky Alexander.
