Paula Ann (Snoddy) Qualls passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 72 years old. She was born on September 21, 1950, to Anna Lois Morris and John Felix Snoddy. She grew up in Brad, Texas, where she loved to ride her horse from sun rise to sun set. She married her husband of 54 years, Ronald Qualls, in 1968, and together they raised 4 children. Paula was a mother-figure to everyone and cared for numerous children in her community for decades. Many of those children grew up and brought their kids back to Paula to babysit. She loved to make homemade meals, and everyone loved her banana pudding from scratch. She was also known for her remarkable sewing abilities, whether it was making dolls, creating beautiful quilts, or making clothes. She made all of her kid’s clothes when they were little. They may not have loved it then, but it definitely left them with great memories. She meant a lot to so many people. Our hearts are sad, and we will miss her tremendously.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings: Joe Snoddy, John Cal Strickland, Ginger Sanford, and John Truesdell. Children: Ronnie Gene Qualls and wife Tammy, Mickey Qualls and wife Brandie, Lucretia Lilly, and Alicia Turner and husband Kiason. Grandchildren: Mickey Qualls Jr, Courtney Couch, Cameron Couch, Brandon Qualls, Austin Qualls, Alexis Allison, Trinity Allison, Isaac Turner, Caleb Turner, Joel Turner, and Leah Turner. Great-grandchildren: Bellemy, Rylan, Isabela and Sophia.
