Patsy Ann Stafford, known affectionately as Momma Pat, passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 77, in Mineral Wells, Texas. Born on January 6, 1947, Pat dedicated much of her life to her community and family, leaving behind a legacy of love and care.
Pat graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1965 and spent over two decades as a teacher’s aide at the same school. She was a devoted mentor, touching the lives of countless students with her kindness and dedication. Beyond her professional life, Pat was a lifelong homemaker renowned for her exceptional cooking and the warm, welcoming atmosphere she created in her home.
Her faith played a significant role in her life. Pat was a lifetime member of Eleventh Avenue Church and a strong supporter of Celebration Community Church in Fort Worth. Her commitment to her faith and church community was evident in everything she did.
Momma Pat’s personality was a beacon of joy for those around her. Known for her wonderful hugs and the peppermint candies she loved to share, her smile and spirit brightened every room. Pat was also an avid cook, whose cookies and meals will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to enjoy them.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry, and son, JLonnie Stafford, along with her beloved Grand dog; Gunner. She also leaves behind a sister, Judy (David) Sherley; brothers, Lonnie (Paula) Wright and Ronnie (Debbie) Wright; stepbrothers, Mark (Gena) Stone, LeeLee Wright, Hal Stone; brother-in-law Lyndall J. Stafford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Inez (Salter) Wright, and her in-laws, Jake and Elizabeth Stafford.
Memorial services will be held on November 9, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Eleventh Avenue Church, 206 SW 11th Avenue, Mineral Wells, Texas. A second service will be planned for Celebration Community Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, Momma Pat requested that attendees bring teddy bears to be donated to the children at Cook’s Children Hospital of Fort Worth, reflecting her lifelong commitment to caring for others.
