Today, we celebrate the life of Patsy Pauline Mitchell, born February 17th, 1942, in Palo Pinto County, to Leo Chester 'Coke' and Josephine McKee. She passed away March 3, 2013. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at First Baptist Church at Possum Kingdom Lake. Graveside service will follow at McAdams Cemetery at Possum Kingdom Lake. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Patsy attended school in Graford, where she graduated high school. She was a stay at home mom and raised her two children and participated in all school activities until they were out of school. She then went to college at Weatherford College and received her associate's degree. She served 9 years as a teacher's aide in Mineral Wells Jr. High School District, then as a substitute teacher in Graford ISD. She enjoyed her years with family and friends and married the love of her life, Jerry Mitchell. They shared 50 blessed years together rearing their two children in a Christian home where striving to do one's best with a smile, was taught and exemplified. Patsy and Jerry loved spending time with their family and friends, camping, and traveling. Patsy lived a life of service. Patsy will always be remembered for her loyal friendship, her quick wit and her ready and genuine smile. She loved life. She loved her family. She loved the Lord. She loved her friends. Patsy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Patsy was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy McKee; and her parents. She is Survived by her husband Jerry, son Russell Mitchell and wife Kim, daughter Patricia Ray and husband Doug, grandsons Riley, Tyler, Eric and Timmy; granddaughters Rachel, Christian, and Tabitha; great granddaughter Nataliey; sisters: Laura Lee and husband Royce, of Hico, Tx; Donna Lemley and husband Ronnie, of Graford; Paula Rogoski and husband Joe, of Mineral Wells; Peggy Kinder of Oran; Deanna Wakefield and husband Eddie of Graford; brothers Johnny McKee and wife Deloris ,of Graford; Robert McKee and wife Alena of Graford; Michael Mckee and wife Melissa of Weatherford; Brother-in law, Joe Mitchell of Berry, Tx; God daughter Kandiss Redding; God son: Larry Lemley; multiple nieces, nephews multiple; great nieces and great nephews; and a multitude of extended family and friends. Patsy touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank all the family and friends that have been there for them in these finally days with food and support. We would also like to thank the staff of lntegraCare Home Health and Hospice, especially her nurse Sharon Smith and her HHA Michelle Straitiff for helping make her desire to be home a reality in her final days.
