Otha Herring

Otha Herring, 89, passed away October 29, 2017 in Santo. He was born March 19, 1928 in Santo the son of L. H. and Lillie Mae Sparks Herring. He married Loraine Brady in 1953 in Reno, Nevada. He was a lifetime resident of Santo. He worked for the highway department retiring after 20 years and 7 months. He was a very happy soul, loved to help everyone, and never met a stranger. He loved to fish, and to talk about stories of his childhood. Graveside services will be 10 AM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Santo North Cemetery. He is survived by his grandchildren: Justin Herring and wife: Tiffany of Millsap, Jamey Galik of Purcell, Oklahoma, Jennifer Herring of Santo, great-grandchildren: Haylee and Hynder Herring, Daniel, Joe, Lance, and Ira Herring, brother: W. C. Herring of Santo, special niece: Darla Foreman of Santo, and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 61 years: Lorine Herring, son: Walter Herring, brother: William Dearl Herring Sr., and sisters: Alverta Smith, Clara Mae Pollock, and Margaret Louise Herring.
