Ocie William Benson

Ocie William "Bill" Benson, 71, of Mineral Wells, passed away Friday,October 30, 2009 in Weatherford. Graveside funeral services were 2 pm Mondayat the Bosley Cemetery. Rev. Gary Richardson officiated at the service.Pallbearers were Gary Wheeler, Bryan Wheeler, Shawn Wheeler, Cole Wheeler,Terry Mullen, Corey Ashley, Jeff Maness and Jared Self. Honorary pallbearerswere Darrell Lewallen and Raymond Wheeler.Mr. Benson was born May 3, 1938 in Sweetwater, TX, the son of Oran and VeraWaldoop Benson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and moved to MineralWells in 1996 from Houston where was a barber and pawn shop operator.Survivors include his mother, Vera Heath of Mineral Wells; sister, PeggyO'Camb of Mineral Wells nephew and wife, Walter and Debra O'Camb of FL;great-niece and great-nephew, Leslie O'Camb and Robert O'Camb; other niecesand nephew and spouses, Gary and Karen Wheeler, Beverly and Jerry Mullen,Shawn and Dacia Wheeler, Robin and James Tuggle all of Mineral Wells,Shannon and Gary Richardson of Graford, Cindy and Doyle Maness of MineralWells, Tina and John and Kim and Chuck Mills; close friends, Raymond andPatsy Wheeler and Darrell and Della Lewallen of Mineral Wells; many othergreat-nieces and great nephews and lifelong friends
