Norman Otto Stroup, 82, passed away October 29, 2012 in a Fort Worth hospital. He was born December 9, 1929 in Ellington, Missouri the son of Jess and Gladys Burns Stroup. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was a Cross Guard at Lamar Elementary. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Doris Stroup of Garner, sisters and brother-in-law: Louise Bushart of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Lou and Johnny McNail of Centerville, Missouri, brother: Charles Edward Stroup of Missouri, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister-in-law: Lulu Mae Stroup, longtime friend: Margie Oliver of Mineral Wells, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Norman Stroup Jr., and 2 brothers.
