Norman Hervy Caudill, 92, passed from this life July 3, 2024. He was born October 28, 1931 at Graham, Texas to Litt and Fern Caudill. Norman grew up in Palo Pinto County his entire life. He served in the Korean Conflict from November 18, 1952 to November 19, 1954. He worked at Kimberlin Ranch and later was the ranger for Camp Constantin Possum Kingdom. He gave up that career to become a full-time rancher.
Norman married Kay Blair on October 26, 1986. He was very active with Graford 4-H and FFA and helped many youth throughout the years achieve many accomplishments.
Norman is survived by his wife Kay, daughter Cindy Sears (Clif), grandson John Norman Reedy (Alice) and great grandson Benny Reedy, sister Catherine Francis (Darrell). Stepsons Clint Brown (DeeDee) and Jay Brown and grandchildren Garrett, Campbell, Ashlyn, Cooper, Eli and Hannah.
He was an exceptional cowboy and rancher and loved going to pastures and feeding his cattle with Kay every day. Kay was always the gate opener. He was one of a kind.
There will be a visitation Sunday, July 7th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Possum Kingdom on Monday, July 8th at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Pickwick-McAdams Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
