Nina Garland

Nina Garland passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 81.Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 27 at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home chapel followed by burial in Woodland Park Cemetery.Nina Mae Watson was born January 21, 1938 to William Oran and Ester Nina (Andrews) Watson and grew up in Mineral Wells the oldest of two girls. She married Don Garland in 1958 and together they raised two sons. Nina was a wonderful wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother.She was also a tremendous worker spending most of her adult life employed in the aerospace industry; first with EdoAir Mitchell, then General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. After retiring from Lockheed she worked for a time in banking and then went on to Acme Brick. Nina's strong work ethic was an amazing example to her family and everyone who knew her. As was her love for the Lord. She was a member of the MW Church of God and loved to share her beautiful voice in songs of worship and praise.Nina is survived by her sons, Steve Garland, Keith Garland and wife, Amy; grandchildren, KaCee Bailey and husband, Kevin, Cheslyn Garland, Cassidy Garland and Dalton Garland; great grandchildren, Khloe and Karter Bailey; and a host of other loving family members and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Garland; and sister and brother in law, Jean and Jimmy Rogers.
