Nadine Jewel Dikes, 95, of Mineral Wells passed away on April 16, 2012. She was born in Graham Chapel, Texas on September 3, 1916 to James Oliver Reed and Mary Tabitha Wood. She married Truman Guy Dikes on April 29, 1933 in Slaton, Texas. She lived in this area for over 60 years and was a dedicated member of the North Oak Church of Christ. Nadine was devoted to family and friends; enjoyed traveling, camping and singing church hymns. She had a young and adventurous soul and always enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be missed by her family and community. Survivors include her son, Ralph Dikes of Fort Worth and daughters-in-law Catherine Dikes of Fort Worth, and Mary Dikes of Apache Junction, Arizona; granddaughter Sheree Dikes of Fort Worth; grandsons Marc Dikes of Fort Worth, Rodney Dikes of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Shawn Dikes of Apache Junction, Arizona and Keith Dikes of Mesa, Arizona; and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Dikes was preceded in death by her husband Truman Guy Dikes who passed away in 1997, son Gaylan Mack Dikes who passed away in 2009 and 10 siblings. The service is scheduled for Wednesday April 18, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the North Oak Church of Christ with Jack Cummings and Brian Regan officiating the service, burial follow at Woodland Park Cemetery.
