Myrtle Marie Clark, 87, of Mineral Wells passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Plaza Medical Hospital in Fort Worth from emphysema and COPD. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday at the North Oak Church of Christ, Brian Reagan will officiate. Burial will be in the LuQueen Cemetery with Darrell Watkins, Kevin McCown, Larry McCann, Jason McCann, Joey McCann, Addis McNamara and Greg Rowland serving as pallbearers.Myrtle Marie was born December 26, 1922 in Graford, Texas the daughter of William Lee "Bill" and Etta Maud Dixon Moore. She has two brothers, Don and Roy and two sisters, Margaret and Marilyn. She married William Hollis McCann December 23, 1940 in Palo Pinto, TX. who preceded her in death in 1982. They had four children: Linda Geraldine "Jerry" McCown and husband, Fred; Carrol Eugene McCann; Loretta June Huggins and husband, Jimmy, and Hollis Clydine McCann. Three years later, she married Carl Clark who preceded her in death in 1991.Marie was blessed to have 21 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends..Marie has been an active member of the North Oak Church of Christ since 1973 when they moved to Mineral Wells. Other than being a homemaker, Marie has worked as a cook, laundry assistant, and as a production line assembler at Electra Company in Mineral Wells.During her last illness, Fred and Jerry stayed with her since the first week in July after she could no longer stay alone. Loretta and Jimmy came once a week on her days off to allow Fred and Jerry to go home to Archer City to take care of their home. Clyde has been doing the yard work for several years and he and Gene both took care of her cars mechanical needs.
