Morris Dean

Morris W. Dean, 92, of Mineral Wells, is now in His Lords arms. He went to be with His Lord on December 1, 2014. The graveside service is 2 PM Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Holders Chapel Cemetery in Cool, TX with Barry Holmes officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Baurm-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Morris was born on January 24, 1922 at his parent's farm in rural Parker County to Marvin Mather and Pearl Penrod Dean. Morris was a Veteran of WWII where he received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal. After returning from the war he married Thelma Holmes on September 6, 1947 in Weatherford, TX. She was the love of his life. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Larry and Darlene Dean of Orlando, Florida, daughter and son-in-law Pearl and D.C. Whittenburg Jr of Mineral Wells, grandchildren Bobby and Christi Whittenburg of Mineral Wells, Sister-in-law Clara Holmes, numerous nieces and nephews, and good friend Mary Whittenburg. Preceded in death by his wife Thelma, grandchild Tiffiny Dean, his parents, sister, and brother. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehabilitation, for all the love, wonderful care and support to Morris and to us.
