Mitchell Oreante Pruitt, 72, passed away July 13, 2011 in Granbury. He was born March 18, 1939 in Los Angeles, California the son of Thomas Oreante and Pearl Mitchell Pruitt. He was a longtime resident of Granbury and a member of the Brazos River Baptist Church. He worked for W. Pat Crow Forgings for 27 years. Services will be 2 PM Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Michael Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery. He is survived by his children: Anita Aline Bischel of Callahan, Florida, Mitchell Don Pruitt of Nordheim, Dewayne Oreante Pruitt of Granbury, Cody Pruitt of Callahan, Florida, numerous grandchildren, mother: Pearl Pruitt of Brownfield, brother: Tommy Pruitt of Burnet, sisters: Joy Crain of Brownfield, Eppie Bullard of Brownfield, Sylvia White of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and caretakers: Shelly and Gene Parsons of Granbury. He was preceded in death by his father, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and his wives: Elizabeth, Darla, and Regina.
