Miriam Amelia Nowak, 94, passed away March 12, 2011 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. She was born October 22, 1916 in Thurber the daughter of William and Pinky Lee Garrison Lorenz. She married Henry Hubert Nowak in 1932 at Dodson Prairie. She was a lifetime resident of Dodson Prairie and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a member of the Sons of Herman Lodge. Mass will be 10 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Balasi Boyalla officiating. Burial will follow in Dodson Prairie Cemetery. The Rosary will be 6 PM Monday at the funeral home with visitation following until 8 PM. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Liz and Carl Morrow of Cache, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Ronnie Slemmons, Jerry Don Slemmons, Terry Dean Slemmons, Kelsey Dillon, Rodney Dillon, and Russell Dillon, great-grandchildren: Amber, Courtney, Wesley, Kelsey Deanna, Amber, Micalyn, Justin, Courtney, Jared, and Matt, and great-great-grandchildren: Reid and Kelbie Mae. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 29, 1998, and her daughter: Stella Slemmons.
