Millard Verdon Crounse of Mineral Wells went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 12, 2011. He was born in Perrin on October 12, 1925; the son of Millard Q. and Maggie Dillin Crounse. He served proudly in WW II with the Navy on the USS R.K. Huntington. He retired after 42 years of working as a distributor for the Star Telegram and also worked for the Mineral Wells Index. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to garden. Survivors are wife of 66 years, Oneita Purefoy Crounse; daughters Peggy Boyanton and husband Mike; Oliece Fagan. Sons, Lamar Crounse and wife Margie, and Al Crounse. He is very loved by his 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, a brother and sister, daughter Becky Miller, and grandson Monty Crounse. Services are Wednesday, February 16th at 2PM at Northside Baptist Church with burial at Perrin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 15th from 6 to 8PM at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home.
