Mildred Brooks

Mildred Jane Brooks, 73, passed away March 29, 2011 in a Mineral Wells hospital. She was born January 11, 1938 in Greer County, Oklahoma the daughter of Wiley and Ella Aline Meadows Landford. She loved to play bingo and was a member of the Civil Defense Auxiliary for 5 years. Services will be 2 PM Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Southside Church of Christ with William Eudy and J. R. Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her son James Brooks of Mineral Wells, daughter and son-in-law: Tracy and Don Bloyd of Weatherford, grandchildren: Dustin Rich, Heather Castillo, Mike Rich, James Brooks, Thomas Rich, Amy Brooks, great-granddaughter: Kylie Castillo, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James Wesley Brooks in 1995, and her siblings: Joyce, Jess Landford, Helen McCrady, and Daryll Landford.
