Milburn Sercy Guinn, Jr.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Milburn Sercy Guinn Jr., known as Junior or JR, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 65.

JR was born on June 27, 1959, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Milburn Sercy Guinn and Wanda Joyce Hermaillo (Tyler). He was the brother of Tony Guinn, Vickie Guinn, Tina Guinn, and Mickie Guinn.

Throughout his life, JR was known for his love of the outdoors, enjoying hobbies of hunting, fishing, and hiking. He had enthusiasm for fitness, zoology, and movies. He found happiness in exploring the world and appreciating the beauty of nature. He also shared many cherished memories and holidays with Tony, Dana, and Trent Guinn, as well as Mike, Kelsey, and Megan Powell, filled with laughter and love.

Professionally, JR had a successful career in oilfield sales, where he not only achieved great success but also built lasting friendships with colleagues and clients alike. Later, he went on to start his own company, Valve Tech & Supply.

As a father, JR was nothing short of remarkable. His love for his daughter, Lendie Patten, was deep and unconditional, always putting her first. He was a constant source of strength, wisdom, and guidance for her. He taught her the values of kindness, integrity, and resilience. He was her protector, mentor, and best friend, offering a foundation of love and support that will live on in her heart forever. His presence in her life was a true blessing, and his legacy as a father will continue to inspire and comfort her every day.

JR was preceded in passing by his father, Milburn Guinn (1997), and his sister, Mickie Guinn (1987). However, he leaves behind many adored family members and friends who will miss his outgoing spirit, bright smile, big heart, and memorable laugh. He lived an amazing life and enjoyed telling stories of his adventures, friends, family, glory days of football, the great outdoors, and everything in between.

JR trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for the free gift of eternal life on December 1, 2022. He has found peace in Heaven, and his love and memory will live on in our hearts.
