Miguel Rodriguez

Miguel Rodriguez, 90, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024.  He was born in 1933 and grew up in San Benito, Texas. Miguel was a Korean War Veteran who served in the 112^th Battalion Airborne Division.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Rodriguez & wife Marcia Rodriguez; 3 grandchildren, Sara Tatsch, Nick Rodriguez, and Vince Rodriguez; 5 great grandchildren, Jakob, Evan, Adeline, Olivia, Noah; and brother, Filberto Rodriguez.  Miguel was preceded in death by his wife, Irma S. Rodriguez.

In recent years, Miguel faced the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease that affected his memory and personality. Despite the difficulties, those close to him remember moments of clarity, warmth, and glimpses of the person he once was. The family wishes to convey their gratitude to Americare Home Health Care, first responders and neighbors for their compassion and assistance during his final years.

Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 13^th at 10am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Chapel in Mineral Wells, Tx.  Burial will follow at Whitt Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Adell-Whitt Volunteer Fire Department.
