Mickey Marvin Meeks, aged 65, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on February 20, 1959, in Mineral Wells, Texas, Mickey was a man of strong faith, exceptional work ethic, and a profound love for his family.
Mickey was known for his fun-loving spirit and his joy in making others laugh. He cherished moments spent playing baseball and flying kites with his children, activities that reflected his playful and caring nature. Mickey's commitment to his family was evident in everything he did, and he deeply loved his spouse, children, and grandchildren.
Professionally, Mickey demonstrated a robust work ethic from a young age. He spent many years in the oilfield, a job he thoroughly enjoyed during his youth. Later, he dedicated 20 years to Tandy Corporation as a security officer, showcasing his dedication and reliability.
Mickey was an active member of Highridge Church in Mineral Wells, where his faith played a significant role in his life. He believed in the importance of helping others, a belief that extended to his commitment to blood and tissue donation, having donated over 20 gallons of blood during his lifetime.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Gaye Meeks; son, Randy and wife Lauren; daughter-in-law, Alissa Meeks-Small and husband Ross; and grandchildren Christopher, Sophia, Ella, Josephine, Mitchell, Calum, Westley, and Amara. Mickey was preceded in death by his son, Sgt. Ronald Eugene Meeks.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Baum-Carlock Baumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas. Baum-Carlock Baumgardner Funeral Home is assisting the family during this time. Mickey's life will be celebrated, remembered, and his legacy cherished by all who knew him.
