Michael McInroe

April 19, 1959 — May 26, 2013

Michael Renard McInroe, 54, lifetime resident of Mineral Wells, passed from this earth to his eternal home in Heaven on May 26, 2013. Michael was born April 19, 1959 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was the son of Frank McInroe and Joan Hitchcock McInroe. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1977. Michael had a true and rare, natural talent. He apprenticed under his daddy for many years and eventually began his own company, Mike's Construction. He proved that a kind heart, solid work ethic and determination were all one needed to achieve success and prosperity. Michael had learned a secret that many of us never fully embrace. He learned how to play as hard as he worked. Michael shared a passion for participating in many cookoffs around Texas. He also was always willing to cook for small or large groups of people, including many benefits. His philosophy was to have plenty of grillable food enough to feed an army! Floating down the Brazos River in a canoe became one of his favorite sports. Another favorite form of relaxation was bass fishing competitions. He will be missed, but along with any structure he ever built, his spirit and legacy will live on and will weather any storm. Visitation will be Tuesday May 28, 6-8 p.m., at the Baum-Carlock-Baumgaudner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Mineral Wells, Wednesday May 29th at 10 a.m. Officiating the services will be Elder J.R. Patterson of Southside Church of Christ and Pastor Kirk Horton of Well of Life Church, Mineral Wells. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Presley and Iva Rebecca Hitchcock and paternal grandparents A.F. and Mattie Mae McInroe and his mother-n-law Sherry Annette Tippie Rusinovich. Michael leaves behind his loving wife Kim McInroe of Mineral Wells; sons Todd and Kevin McInroe of Mineral Wells and their mother Paula Gibbs. Michael is also survived by his mother Joan McInroe; father Frank McInroe and his wife Marilyn; step-mother Billie McInroe and friend Scotty Teague; sister Teresa McInroe Montalvo and husband José; and step-sister Tina Haynie and husband Ray; sister-in-law Misty Wedel and friend Billy Brillhart; sister-in-law Brandy and husband Reggie Schultz; and father-in-law and mother-n-law Mark and Patty Rusinovich; lifetime friend Alan Richardson and family; He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the ultimate uncle to many nieces and nephews. Michael better know in the community as Mike never met a stranger and leaves behind many friends and loved ones. Pallbearers will be Monty Brogdon, Willie Collins, Travis Justiss, Shane Lemons, Preston Montalvo, Alan Richardson, Tony Seigler, J. W. Waller. To honor Mike's love for the outdoors, trees will be planted in his memory on the family ranch. In lieu of flowers, donations of tree saplings can be contributed.
