Michael Adan Benavides

Michael "Pops" Adan Benavides with an unforgettable smile that brightened the lives of everyone he knew, passed away June 1, 2011. He was born to Rosanna and Jose Armando Benavides Jr. on February 8th, 1984 in Mineral Wells, Tx. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 2002 where he participated in football, basketball, and baseball. He continued his education first at Brookhaven College and then completing his Associates degree at Weatherford College. He soon met and married Brandy Wampler on June 11th, 2005 and became loving father to daughter Cadie. He worked for Southwire in Mineral Wells for five years. Michael was a best friend to many because of his loyal and loving personality. Family was the most important part if his life. He enjoyed coaching his daughter's Little League soccer team and he was a mentor to many of his family and friends for which he will be greatly missed by all.He is survived by - wife Brandy, daughter Cadie, mother Rosanna Benavides and fiance Zedrick Burns, father Jose Armando Benavides Jr. and wife Christi, brother Jose Armando Benavides III and wife Heather, sister Nina Benavides and fiance Jose Rodriguez. Grandmothers Gloria Benavides and Frances Vila, nephews Zaylin Rodriguez and Jose Armando Benavides IV, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Frank Vila and Jose Armando Benavides. Services will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells. A rosary will be held on Friday June 3rd, 2011 at 8 p.m. in the chapel and Funeral Mass will be held Saturday June 4th, 2011 at 12 p.m. in the Worship Center. He will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at the First Financial Bank of Mineral Wells.
