Melvin Gerald Young

Melvin Gerald Young 75 of Santo passed away June 12, 2014. He was born in Bonham, Texas; the son of the late Robert and Josie (McCasland) Young. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Melvin taught shop class at Richardson High School and Lake Highlands High School for many years and ran his own custom wood shop. After retiring he and his wife moved to the Santo area. Melvin was active in Richardson East Church of Christ and Santo Church of Christ. He is survived by wife June Young; children Franna Jo Young, Gerald Rucker Young, wife Linda Young and foster child Rudy Armenta; grandchildren Justin Young, Jessica Young and Joseph Grauman; sister Winnie Ruth Blevins along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Monday June 16, 2014 10am at Santo North Cemetery.
