Maxine McMinn passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021. She was born December 13, 1924 in Mineral Wells. Maxine attended the Sturdivant school where she met her husband Loye McMinn at an early age. They were just shy of celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary when he passed in 2011. Maxine retired from HEB and the Nueces County as Deputy Clerk. She also volunteered at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi and an active member of South Side Church of Christ. If you knew Maxine, you knew she loved the color pink! She was preceded in death by her husband, Loye McMinn; son Larry McMinn; parents, Izah and Jewel Patterson; siblings, Clayton Patterson, I.L. Patterson, Wendell Patterson, and Ramona Bernard.
Survivors include her children, Cully McMinn and wife Missy, Janice Berg, and Jo Lynn McMinn; grandchildren, Nicette, Michelle, Erica, April, Heather, Holli, Benjamin, Levi, Seth, and Caleb; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ned Patterson, Johnny Patterson, Billie Jean Martin; great-nephew, Chuck Cryer and family; numerous other family and friends.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2021 at Sturdivant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Kings Crossing Prison Ministries, 5901 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78414-9983.
