Mattie Orline "Arline" Savell

Mattie Orline Savell (Arline) passed away at Palo Pinto General Hospital on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the age of 90.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Northside Baptist Church of Mineral Wells, Reverend Paul Harris presiding. Visitation will be 1 hour prior at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery to lay beside her husband, Ovet Raymond Savell, who preceded her in death August 22, 2008 at the age of 87.

Arline was preceded in death by her husband, Ovet Savell; daughters, Vonda Elaine Whittenburg and Kathryn Denise Pratt of Mineral Wells, Texas; and son, Kenneth Ray Savell of Jacksboro, Texas.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickey Ruth Sherly; sister, Elsie Mae Watkins; grandchildren, Anthony Ray Sherley, Amy Zachmeyer, Zed Lester Zachmeyer, Ray Paul Zachmeyer, Jana Amstutz, Lori Favors, and Amy Melton; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Maddux, and Liam Zachmeyer, Aaron and Jordan Favors, Tanner and Hannah Amstutz, Emma and Noah Melton. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Joe Whittenburg, who was a great help during the years after the loss of her husband; and her daughter-in-law, Janice Savell, who visited her often.

Arline was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was very devout and grounded in her faith which she displayed in abundance during the loss of her beloved husband and three of her children. She is now in Heaven rejoicing with those that were there to greet her.
