Mary Evelyn Segars Watson, 91, of Mineral Wells, Texas, passed away January 29.Graveside services will be held at the New Gordon Cemetery on Monday, February 1 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner funeral home (www.bcbfuneralhome.com).She was born December 5, 1924, in Gordon, Texas to Hugh Matthew and Emma Askew Segars. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Edward Segars, Alverda Segars Edwards, and Melba Segars Blue.She graduated from Gordon High School in 1942. She married Lindol Owen Watson on May 11, 1943. They celebrated 71 years of marriage before his death in 2014. She worked for Hills Style Shop in Mineral Wells for 25 years.She is survived by daughters Sandra Watson Crawford and husband Don Crawford of Mineral Wells; Diana Watson Hinkson and husband William D. (Bill) Hinkson of Strawn; six grandchildren: John Crawford and wife Julie, Jeff Crawford and wife Sara, Jana Crawford Rhoades and husband Clayton, Joseph Hinkson and wife Kinsey, Matthew Hinkson, and William Hinkson. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Weldon Segars; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Palo Pinto County (1410 S.E. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mineral Wells, TX 76067) or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at Palo Pinto General Hospital, Palo Pinto Nursing and Rehab Center, and Solaris Hospice.
