In 1970, Mary went to work at Lodal’s Office Supply in downtown Mineral Wells. She eventually worked as a seamstress for Mineral Wells Manufacturing, where she worked for many years. In her later years, she worked part-time for local daycares until she retired in 1999. She moved to Sandstone Foothills Apartments in 2012, where she had many friends and enjoyed attending bingo and bible study.
Mary was a skilled seamstress, making her own clothing for the majority of her adult life, and passed on the skill to her two daughters. She also made clothing for her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed knitting. She was a lifelong Baptist. She adored her dog, Pepper, and loved indulging in chocolate and Dr. Pepper.
