Mary Sally Mendoza passed away peacefully on the morning of July 31, 2022 in her home with her husband lying beside her. She was born on September 11, 1957 in Littlefield, Texas. The baby of four children born to the late David and Nora Davila Gonzales.
Sally married Ray Mendoza on July 22, 1972 and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Sally got her education in Spade, Texas; married and shortly had her first child, Adam Ray then Jovan Mark, and Jordane Demetrian. She worked in retail for many years until her husband opened his own business in 1980 when she became his secretary and bookkeeper.
Sally underwent a successful liver transplant, for the most part, in 1998 and has gone through numerous complications until her passing.
A great mother, extremely hard worker, and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Her heart was full of kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion, gentleness, consideration, and love for everyone. Sally was a testimony to everyone, and proof that miracles still exist. She knew and touched so many people throughout her life and will be remembered for the unconditional love she had for her family. Her legacy will live on in all the hearts of everyone who loved her and will never be forgotten as a great servant of God.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Mendoza; sons, Adam Mendoza, Jovan Mendoza and wife Denise, and Jordane Mendoza; grandchildren, Anaiz Pederson, Michaela Garcia, Enrique Ramos, and Aiden Mendoza; great-grandchildren, Mya Pederson and Hayden Pederson; brothers, Jessie Gonzales of Levelland, Tx and Rudy Gonzales of Amhurst, Tx; sister, Silvia Session of Enid, Ok; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved dog, Button.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022 at First Baptist Church.
