Our heavenly father called his angel Mary Uribe McAllister 73, to her eternal home on Wednesday January 21, 2009. Services will be 1:00pm Saturday January 24, 2009 at Mineral Wells Church of God with Pastor Jerrel Tomlin officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00pm in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8pm at Baum Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Chapel. She was born in Gordon, Texas on March 13, 1935 to Jorge and Teresa Uribe who moved their family to Millsap where she went to school, graduated, and later came back to live. Active at the Mineral Wells Senior Center, she currently served on their Board of Directors. She was a loving person who never met you without a smile. She made friends so easily and it was reflective by her calendar which was full of things to do and places to go. She loved her Tuesday night domino games, was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, and also performed with the Silver Notes. She loved music, especially gospel. Though she was involved with many things throughout her life her most treasured role was that of mother and grandmother. We are truly fortunate to have the blessings of a mother like her. To her there was no love greater than that of a mother, and she proved it in every way. It was unconditional and ever present. She had a deep understanding of what family meant and taught everyone that happiness grows just as deep as your love runs. Her love ran deep! She put her love and faith in God, church, family, and friends. On the night her sickness began she was playing bingo. Little did the announcer know that God was in charge of calling the numbers that night and when he called her number, she was ready! She was an inspiration to all those lucky enough to have known her. It was her amazing attitude that could lift any spirit and brighten any room. In the difficult times, her faith sustained her; in fact, it helped her through the most trying times of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin L. McAllister Sr., beloved grandson Landen Ryan McAllister, parents Jorge and Teresa Uribe, brothers; Sabino and John Uribe, a sister Celia Uribe. Those left to cherish her memory are her children and their families. Marvin L. McAllister Jr and Cheryl of Mineral Wells; James U.
