Mary Jones Bridges

Mary "Diana" Bridges (Jones) was born in McCrory, Arkansas to James and Mary Jones on August 23, 1948. She passed peacefully at her home in Weatherford, Texas and entered Heaven's gates on Sunday January 21, 2018.Diana was an excellent cook and she enjoyed cooking meals for her family and friends. She loved shopping, spending time with her horse, and seeing all the beautiful flowers bloom in the springtime. Her favorite pastime was sitting on the front porch with her best friend and husband, Mike while they watched the hummingbirds together. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.Diana was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Herring. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her loving husband of 14 years, John Michael Bridges; daughter Jeannie and husband William Bettis (Lipan, Texas); daughter Sherri and husband Mark Melnitchenko (Dallas, Texas); son Greg and wife Kandi Oakley (Deltona, Florida); son Jody and wife Breanne Bridges (Burleson, Texas); and daughter Kristi and husband Dave Alverson (Charleston, South Carolina). She is also survived by her adored grandson Gunner Pederson (Mineral Wells, Texas) and 15 other beloved grandchildren. Her 14 great grandchildren were her heart and joy. Diana touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her life will be celebrated in a private family memorial at a private location. A memorial service will be held at a private location Saturday, February 2, 2018 and will be conducted by the family.
