Marvin Gerald Smiddy passed away in his home in Longmont, Colorado from a sudden heart attack on August 27, 2010. He was born May 18, 1943 in Oran the youngest child in a family of 12 children. He was a loving sweet person. He lived his life single. He worked for many years as a courtesy clerk at King Soopers on North Main. He was always friendly and never met a stranger. He loved collecting comic books and writing short poems and stories. So many things he enjoyed in his life. He was preceded in death by his parents: Luther and Lonnie Smiddy, a stillborn sister, a brother: Melvin, two sisters: Juanita and Adell and brother-in-law: Doug Parsley. He is survived by brothers and sister-in-law: Wayne Smiddy, R. L. and Donna Lee Smiddy, sisters and brothers-in-law: Mozelle Parsley, Marie and Ken Baker, Mildred and R. T. Walls, Edith and Marv Vandergriend, Estelle and Bruce Gray, and many nieces and nephews. We will all miss our brother but we feel that he is with our loved ones in heaven. He will be buried in Indian Creek Cemetery in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
