Mark Renner, 66, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 after a nine month fight with cancer. Mark requested cremation and no services are pending at this time. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at a future date.Mark was born November 8, 1947 in Pratt, KS, the second of seven children of Alfred C. and Helen K. (Fischer) Renner. He grew up in Wichita, KS where he graduated from High School and attended Wichita State University. In 1968 he moved with his parents and siblings to Puyallup, WA.Mark was inducted into the U.S. Army in May, 1971 in Seattle, WA and was discharged from active duty in May 1973. He then spent 4 years in the Army reserve. He moved to Mineral Wells, TX in 1974 and began working at Perry Equipment Corporation, first in the maintenance department, and later in the cost estimating department. He retired in 2004 after 30 years of service.Mark was an avid gardener and loved to share his tomatoes with neighbors, friends, family and former co-workers. He loved to fish and to hunt.Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three brothers; Gerald R. Renner of Mineral Wells, TX; William R. Renner and wife Francesca of Waukesha, WI; Gregory F. Renner and wife Donna of Haltom City, TX; three sisters; Jane M. Nixon and husband Steve of Mineral Wells, TX; Carolyn B. Russell and husband Raymond of Weatherford, TX; and Susan K. McCallum and husband Von of Edmond, OK.; and numerous nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers or other memorials, Mark requested donations to the American Cancer Society.
